Playworld makes unstructured outdoor play meaningful and relevant with new dome climber
Unity Product Re-imagines Classic Playground Structure
LEWISBURG, PA (May 6, 2014) – Playworld, a leading playground manufacturer committed to saving outdoor unstructured play, today announced the launch of Unity, a new climbing structure designed to appeal to today’s thrill-seeking kids.
Unity takes the decades-old geodesic dome and makes it meaningful and relevant to 21st century children.
“The product design for Unity propels the past into the future,” said Michael Laris, director of product development and strategy for Playworld. “We redesigned the traditional play dome with its triangular openings because children aren't triangular shaped. In the old dome, kids couldn’t access the enticing interior space and all the sides were the same. Unity opens up that special space, and the added dimension offers more fun and engagement for children of all ages.”
