Its tradeshow season and that means we’re busy sharing the power of play and helping bring play to more people around the world.
Next week, we’ll be attending The National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) conference in Long Beach, California, which brings together educators and school administrators to share ideas, overcome challenges, and have the opportunity to hear respected, well-known speakers.
Attendees at this year’s event can select one of six tracks:
- Student Achievement Gap
- Technology, Instructional Leadership
- School Culture
- Pre-K-3 School Leadership
- Leading Urban Communities
- Safe and Healthy Schools
While “play” doesn’t appear as one of the categories listed above, we know that play and recess in schools attributes greatly to student achievement. Play also benefits school culture, particularly in urban communities, and improves the well-being of all students.
We’ve done our homework and have some great resources to share. Just visit our resources page to download, or if you happen to be at NAESP, stop by booth 910 for a chat. We would love to tell you more about how Playworld can team up with your school.
School may be out for summer, but learning and play happens every day! Tell us how your school uses play in the comments section and on Facebook or Twitter using #saveplay.
